The beauty of the other 500+bhp cars here is that to the uninformed they're just ordinary estate or saloon cars. No such slipping under the environmental radar with the Cayenne Turbo though, the pumped-up Porsche not exactly subtle. It's not packing the 500+bhp punch of the competition here either, but 493bhp is so close we're prepared to give it a pass. That power is produced by a turbocharged 4.8-litre V8 that gives Porsche's SUV quite extraordinary pace, 62mph arriving in just 5.1 seconds.

What's even more impressive though is that Porsche has managed to make this mighty SUV handle; it is quite ridiculously capable given its size and weight. And unlike all the other 500+bhp rivals here the Cayenne can head off the road too, even if few owners will ever venture further than a gymkhana car park. Not perhaps the most politically correct car in the world, but then none of these cars are exactly planet friendly.
