Audi pioneered the use of four-wheel drive in road cars, so it's hardly surprising that every model in its line-up is offered with the traction enhancing technology. That includes the TT Roadster, Audi's cool two-seat drop-top coming with quattro four-wheel drive. Sure, it's not in the same league as the other cars here, but in TTS guise you're likely to have just as many grins behind the wheel. It's difficult to ignore the new TTS, its 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 272bhp and a 5.6 second 0-62mph time. That's Porsche Boxster-rivalling pace.
Should our British summer do its usual and drop plentiful rain on the roads the TTS would run away from the Boxster, too. In TTS guise the Roadster looks sensational, its more aggressive styling giving it real presence. With a super-quick electrically-operated hood you can take advantage of those breaks in the cloud and enjoy the little sun our summers have on offer.
