Porsche's 911 range has jut undergone an overhaul, the 911 always regarded as perhaps one of the most rounded, useable sports cars of them all. For sun lovers desiring a drop-top but also the security of four-wheel drive the C4 S Cabriolet is perfect - even with all Porsche's development some feel safer with all wheels driven with that engine hanging out over the back axle. It's distinguished from its non-four-wheel drive relatives with a red reflector strip across the bottom edge of the rear engine cover. It's a neat styling touch, that's a nod to some of the C4 S's ancestors.
The four-wheel drive system allows you to drive your 911 hard no matter what the conditions, and the quick electrically operated roof drops quickly at the touch of a button. To ease your posing you have to have Porsche's new PDK transmission, it shifting itself and allowing you to concentrate on looking good. When the mood takes you it allows you to change gears for yourself, but be sure to close the roof to drown out your swearing in frustration at Porsche's far from intuitive steering-wheel mounted gear selector buttons.
