Top marks to Chrysler for this one. The beleaguered Detroit maker perhaps thought that by painting the Circuit EV bright, Tango orange we wouldn't notice it's actually a Lotus Europa. Still, credit for trying, we say.
And, in fact, there's nothing fundamentally wrong with mating the Europa's Hethel-honed shape to an all-electric propulsion method, is there? The Circuit is powered by an ENVI powertrain - ENVI is Chrysler's in-house electric vehicles team - which uses lithium-ion batteries and a 268bhp motor to power the lightweight coupé.
That means a sub-five second 0-62mph sprint time, and it's capable of 150-200 miles between charges - charges that can be obtained by plugging the Circuit into the mains in your house. Sounds good to us, though sadly it won't see a forecourt any time soon - too expensive to make, we're told.
