Hummer H3

Admittedly, the final choice in our quintet of cars in which to pick up your hot date is a bit of a wild card and only one worth pursuing if you really think that the person you are collecting will either really dig the Hummer or will think it's the funniest thing in the world and you'll be off to a great start.

Until recently, Hummers have been associated with American troops in Iraq, Arnold Schwarzenegger and hip hop artists. However, the Hummer is due to be sold in Britain through official channels later this year and there is a new model called the H3 that has been developed specifically for this purpose.

Yes, it still retains the distinct chunky styling of the original utilitarian vehicles, but it's smaller and more manageable. And hey, if there's a riot in the restaurant over a bill then you probably have the most secure way to get out...
