Jaguar E-Type

The original press and advertising photographs of the Jaguar E-Type portray an idyllic time, when sharply dressed men wore hats at jaunty angles and the women were as curvy as the cars they sat on the bonnets of. The E-Type was born in the swinging '60s and though it blew any competition away then with its mix of supercar performance, jaw-dropping looks and a decent price tag, it is just as much of a head turner now.

Indeed, the E-Type regularly tops any polls along the lines of 'best-looking car of all time', etc. However, though it's tempting to use such a gorgeous classic car to pick up your hot date, make sure your breakdown recovery is intact, as classic cars do and will let you down just at the wrong moment. There's nothing romantic about sharing a close space with your date and the recovery driver. Even if he is a very very very nice man...
