Audi Type A: It's often said that Audi stands for Auto Union Deutschland Ingolstadt, but another story tells how Horch (meaning 'hark' in German) was renamed Audi (which means 'listen' in Latin) when August Horch lost the rights to his own family name. The Audi Type A was one of the first cars to bear the brand.
