There is no doubt that somebody, somewhere in Ferrari is currently spitting feathers having heard the news that Ross Brawn has signed for the Honda Racing F1 Team as Team Principal. Until this announcement, it was difficult to visualise Brawn without a set of Ferrari-branded overalls.

Along with a certain Mr Schumacher, Ross is credited with being one of the most instrumental figures in helping Ferrari achieve six consecutive constructors' championships from 1999. Even before that, Brawn proved his mettle with back-to-back drivers' championships while at Benetton, along with another constructors' title in 1995.

One can only imagine the ludicrous sum of money Honda must be paying the Brit, but there's no doubt that Honda wants to win in Formula One and the appointment of Brawn could be key. Rumours of Michael Schumacher also joining Honda are completely unsubstantiated, but you never know...
