Renault pulled the covers off its facelifted Modus at the Bologna Show and unveiled the longer Grand Modus at the same time. The two models will come to the UK at the same time in February 2008, with prices starting at £9,650 and £10,250 respectively.
Both cars share the same revised front and rear styling that includes larger headlights and reshaped bumpers at both ends. Inside, the Grand Modus is available with fold-down tables as a £150 option.
The Modus is offered with three petrol engines, including the 75bhp 1.2, turbocharged 1.2 with 100bhp and the 111bhp 1.6s. There are also two diesels in the 68- and 86bhp 1.5 dCi. The Grand Modus shares the same petrol engine and the 86bhp 1.5 turbodiesel, but can also be ordered with the more powerful 106bhp 1.5 dCi.
The Grand Modus is 16cm longer than the standard car, has a 9.3cm longer wheelbase and offers 410-litres of boot space. Although longer, the Grand version remains a five-seat small MPV and is available to order now for delivery in February.
