The Tata Nano may be the cheapest small car planned for India, but BMW is looking at the most expensive.
The huge interest in the Tata Nano has spurred BMW to consider selling the MINI in India.
If the MINI goes on sale in India, it would have a price tag of around 2 million Rupees (£25,000).
BMW has enjoyed rapidly increasing sales in India as the country's wealth grows.
BMW insiders say there are no plans to compete at the budget end of the market, but say there's a burgeoning demand for small luxury cars in India.
