Current F1 driver championship leader Jensen Button has put his Bugatti Veyron supercar up for sale. It's certainly not because the all-black machine isn't quick enough, as the Veyron is one of the fastest cars in the world with a top speed of 253mph.
That's actually faster than Jensen's Brawn GP F1 car - by around 33mph. With an 8.0-litre 16-cylinder engine featuring four turbochargers, the 987bhp Bugatti is also more powerful than Jensen's company car. Button is the second owner of the super rare speed machine and has offered the Veyron for sale at Steve Hurn's Specialist Cars for £899,995, which represents a significant saving over the £1 million-plus the Veyron commands new. With just 1,500 miles on the odometer, and two services undertaken by Bugatti, Jensen's machine should be as fresh as when it was built.
The F1 star won't be short of other high performance machines to drive on his days off, his collection of cars said to include a Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM, a Ferrari Enzo, a BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG and an Audi RS6. Not that he's been using his cars too much lately, instead preferring to swim, cycle and run. Jensen proved his fitness and earned a wad of cash for charity recently by taking part in Mazda's London triathlon.
BMW has unveiled its most potent Z4 yet.
