Arash Farboud, the Iranian entrepreneur famous for the Farboud GTS sportscar, has unveiled his latest creation: the Arash AF10.
Set to cost £172,000 when first customers take delivery next year, the AF10 bears an uncanny resemblance to the Ferrari Enzo - a car that Farboud openly admits “flavoured” his creation.
Powered by the Chevrolet Corvette Z06's 7.0-litre V8 engine - generating 550bhp and reaching the rear axle via a six-speed 'box - the AF10 will despatch the 0-60mph sprint in a mere 3.4 seconds and top out at a claimed 204mph. Active front and rear wings will help keep the supercar close to the ground.
Aside from its brutal performance, the Chevy block was chosen for its ready supply of GM sourced spare parts, ensuring a smooth ownership prospect for the lucky few buyers unabated by the current economic situation.
The carbon-bodied supercar will be built at Farboud's Cambridge production facility, with standard features including a full leather interior, touch screen satnav and a rear view camera.
Only 25 AF10s will be built per year, though they'll be joined in 2010 by a supercharged version, generating 850bhp and set to take on the Enzo-based Ferrari FXX.
