Five of the best Detroit surprises this year

The Detroit show opened its doors to the media this week and here are our favourite of the surprise exhibits. You can't have been looking at the Yahoo! Cars site and not noticed that the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) - or Detroit show in short - is going on at the moment. Time was we visited shows and were surprised by manufacturers on almost every stand. But it's now so competitive out there to release information first there are few genuine surprises at the shows any more. However, there were a few at Detroit, some more surprising than others.
