SL 65 AMG Black Series

With electronics limiting the engine output and top speed, you could be fooled into thinking that this SL is a bit soft. You'd be very wrong. AMG's madcap engineers have thrown away the SL 65's regular turbochargers and replaced them with larger items, in the process upping the power to 661bhp, which incidentally is claimed to be the most powerful an AMG has ever been tuned to.

As if that's not enough, the already impressive torque output of the V12 engine has been boosted to an eye watering 738lb.ft, and although this is actually limited to prevent the gearbox from disintegrating, we think you'll agree that it's sufficient, especially as it conspires with a significantly lightened body - featuring loads of lovely carbon fibre - to catapult the new car from 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed has been limited to 200mph, which again, is more than enough for anyone.
