The RCZ looks too good to be true really: it's one thing being all stunning in an Audi TT sort of way, but it'll be something else if it actually drives as well as Peugeot claims it will. Time will tell, but we find ourselves very hopeful.

Just look at it. Sure, the more scornful among you may decry the RCZ as a cut-price Audi TT rip off, but it's a bold move on Peugeot's behalf to commit to making this car, especially in the current economic climate, and especially with that double-dome glass roof. Anything that stands out?
The cabin is a little too similar to the 308's if we're honest, though it's more sharply raked for a sportier appearance and it's certainly low slung. Room for rear passengers is unsurprisingly tight, and the engine line-up, which starts with a 156bhp petrol unit, through a 163bhp diesel and tops out with a 200bhp 1.6-litre petrol turbo, is as we could have expected. However, powerplants sit under an aluminium bonnet - part of a strategy to keep weight down - and the car sits on low springs to keep the centre of gravity down. And it's got a hydraulic steering rack calibrated for maximum feel, we're told.
When can I buy one?
From Spring 2010, with prices starting at £19,900 for a 156bhp petrol manual model and rising to £24,500 for a 200bhp petrol manual in 'Level 2' trim, which adds leather, dual air conditioning, parking sensors and 19-inch wheels to the already well-equipped standard trim.
