Renault Mégane, Famille

Renault's new Mégane will be shown for the first time in its home market motorshow. The new hatchback, which will face up to VW's new Golf, as well as other contenders like Ford's Focus, Mazda's 3 and its French Peugeot 308 and Citroen C4 rivals, will share the show stand with Renault's production-ready Laguna Coupé, too. The new Mégane is massively significant for the French marque, selling in huge numbers in Europe.

Like all the cars in the C-segment the new Mégane promises to bring new higher levels of technology inside - the likes of which have previously only been offered on premium market cars. In tune with greener consumers four of the diesel cars in the line-up will claim CO2 levels less than or equal to 120g/km. Fuel consumption, safety and quality will also be improved across the new range. The most obvious change though is the entirely new look, the Mégane sharing its frontal design with the Laguna, the five-door model having a more solid, upmarket style.
