Toyota iQ, Miniscule

With everyone thinking small Toyota is showing its new iQ in Paris. And what could be more perfect for the traffic-filled streets of Paris than a congestion-beating city car? Toyota's iQ is super intelligent in its packaging, the Japanese firm managing to squeeze a three-plus-one seating arrangement into tiny proportions. This has been achieved by miniaturising key components and positioning the wheels right out into each corner.

Despite its tiny proportions the iQ promises to deliver big car safety, Toyota installing the world's first curtain shield airbags behind the rear seats. The small size and low weight of the iQ has obvious benefits for economy and emissions, the small petrol and diesel engines certain to offer sensational mpg figures, with CO2 emissions starting at just 99g/km. A big, small car for the show, the iQ is a very important and significant unveil in Paris.
