With sales slumping dramatically, the car makers have to rethink their strategy and Chevrolet has come up with a fixed price motoring package that should appeal to buyers that have had enough of spiralling costs.
At the heart of the offer is a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) contract hire scheme, which starts at £125 per month on Chevrolet's Aveo supermini.
The deal includes three years' road fund licence, three years' (or 30,000 miles) worth of servicing, breakdown cover and a three-year manufacturer-backed warranty.
Buyers will therefore be able to calculate their motoring costs accurately, other than the cost of fuel of course...
The PCP scheme is available on the Aveo, Lacetti and Captiva models, while Chevrolet has also announced the availability of its Captiva 2.0-litre diesel model for the same price as the 2.4-litre petrol version - representing a saving of £1,450.
Buyers of the Aveo and Chevrolet's new Epica saloon may alternatively opt for a three-year, zero per cent finance package.
All of the above offers are subject to initial deposits.
