GMC PAD

According to the press material accompanying GMC's behemoth PAD concept, "commuting is what other people do." What we have here is apparently "an urban loft with mobility", which I think means a fancy motor caravan! In fairness to the designers at GM's West Coast Advanced Design Studio, this is one hell of a fancy motor caravan, and it could be lived in for long periods of time. The interior is pretty much lined in LCD screens, with all manner of information and entertainment available. Privacy is taken care of by electrically variable exterior glazing, which is just as well considering there is a personal spa at the back. The PAD features two modes: in DriveMode, the concept uses diesel-electric propulsion; switch to LifeMode and the power pack operates as a generator, needed to run all those fancy electronics no doubt. Property in LA must be very expensive...
