Fast version of iconic Fiat 500 revealed

The Fiat 500 is set to roar when the Abarth model makes its debut at the Geneva show next month.

The Abarth model will be the most powerful 500 yet and pack a turbocharged 1.4-litre engine under its bonnet, which is borrowed from its Grande Punto big brother.

With 135bhp and 0-62mph in around 7.0 seconds, the Abarth 500 will give the MINI Cooper a hard time and will cost less than the Brit-built MINI too.

A racy bodykit, larger alloy wheels and trademark Abarth Scorpion logos will mark out the hottest 500.

Sales are set to begin in the UK this summer with prices around £14,000.
