Dodge Ram
A fascination with Americana seems to be associated with a 'certain time of life', whether that be a predilection for rock 'n' roll or hankering after a Harley Davidson. Another outlet for this is the purchase of a pick-up truck.
Until recently, the only way to get your hands on a true American pick-up (as opposed to the many European and Japanese options) was to order a 'grey import'. With the reintroduction of the Dodge brand in Britain comes official imports of two versions of the massive Ram pick-up, including the SRT-10 pictured here.
I don't need to tell you that the SRT-10 stands out from the crowd, but there is so much more to this Ram. It takes its name from the two-seat Viper SRT-10 sportscar and it also shares that car's 8.3-litre V10 engine and rear-wheel drive! That translates into a tyre-smokin' 0-62mph time of less than 5.5 seconds and the frankly frightening possibility of 150mph. All you need is a nice Stetson to accompany it...
