There's barely enough space on the carbon fibre body of the T1 to fit the Battenberg (the police colours, that is, not the delicious marzipan covered cake), but there's no mistaking what this is. You're looking at the fastest police car ever. Let's hammer that home before moving onto the police bit. The Caparo T1 was conceived by part of the team that built the McLaren F1 to be a street-legal race car, so its 550kg body is powered by a 575bhp V8 capable of propelling the car to 62mph from standstill in 2.5 seconds. Basically, there's every chance this thing will get to the crime before it's even happened.
The T1 Rapid Response Vehicle (RRV) certainly is that, but sadly it's only a show car at present and is unlikely to ever happen. While that's not surprising, it's a real shame, although its use as a working police car is probably limited because it could barely squeeze a set of handcuffs in the cabin, let alone all the necessary paperwork required for an arrest. Even police have dreams, though.
