Pagani Zonda R, Just the 10

In the world of supercars Pagani is the upstart demonstrating that Ferrari and Lamborghini aren't the only firms in Italy that can produce hugely desirable and expensive supercars. Indeed, Pagani's Zonda out does any Ferrari or Lamborghini for exclusivity and even manages to surpass Lamborghini for craziness.

Pagani is celebrating the end of its Zonda production with the Zonda R, a lightweight, track-only version of its road car. Apparently commissioned by a customer who already has three of the road cars, this €1.4m machine looks like the results of a Zonda having a fling with a fighter jet. Only around 10% of its structure is shared with the road car, and the all-new carbon-fibre monocoque the recipient of a 6.0-litre Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 with 750bhp. That's enough to see the Zonda R reach 62mph in 3.2 seconds on the way to 248.6mph. That should give the owners of the ten being built a real thrill between counting the number of zeros on their bank balances.
