One of the busiest stands at the London Show this year will undoubtedly be Jaguar's, where the fabulous new XKR makes its world debut in both Coupe and Convertible guises. Employing a supercharged V8 producing 420bhp, the new XKR eclipses the outgoing car's specifications, performance and dynamics and though not quite as quick as the BMW M6, it is significantly cheaper.


Jaguar fans will also notice two other new cars on the stand in London, though they are new derivatives of the XJ series rather than new models in their own right. First up is a long wheelbase version of the XJ utilising the excellent V6 diesel engine (we've not been told when the new V8 diesel arrives as yet).


Last of all is the XJR Portfolio, of which only 100 examples will be sold in the UK. The Portfolio takes its extrovert styling cues from the Concept Eight design study and mixes them with a 400bhp supercharged V8 to create one of the most desirable versions of the XJ range.
