James Bond may be famous for his stunts, but not even he expected his new Aston Martin would end up at the bottom of Lake Garda.
The Aston Martin was written off when a stunt driver lost control of the car.
He was delivering it to the set of the new Bond film, Quantum of Solace, but crashed during heavy rain on the narrow roads around the lake in Italy.
Unfortunately, the £180,000 Aston DBS was a write-off, though luckily the driver escaped with only minor injuries.
Worse luck is that the DBS supercar is reportedly the only one available and the loss of the car could hold up filming.
Quantum of Solace is the 21st Bond film and will be released later in 2008.
