For the Ferrari owner who has everything, Van den Brink has come up with another way to part you from a sizeable chunk of money: the 599 GT Convertible. This built-to-order drop-top was unveiled in chilly Vienna and the company has hinted at another convertible model based on the Audi R8.

The Ferrari 599 loses its normal roof, which is replaced with a folding hard top made from carbon fibre. The roof stows under a panel on the rear deck, which is reshaped with twin speed humps behind the headrests.

Van Den Brink carries out all of the necessary structural work to retain the 599's body rigidity and buyers can also upgrade the interior and engine specification. Engine options include the Dutch firm's 6.3-litre conversion, as used in its modern-day GTO based on the 599, that produces 750bhp.

Van den Brink specialises in making one-off cars for wealthy customers. It hasn't mentioned a price for the 599 GT Convertible, but the car is likely to cost £150,000 on top of the price of buying the donor Ferrari 599 GTB.
