Audi TTeases with its new RS

Audi's new TT RS is due to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in just seven days time but pictures of the hot new TT have been circulating the internet. It's been a long time coming, an RS version of the TT rumoured since the groundbreaking original TT was launched back in 1998. It's finally here, the TT RS coming in both coupe and roadster guise with a turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine under its bonnet.

That engine is expected to deliver 340bhp, ensuring the TT RS has the performance to keep up with exotics costing many multiples of its price. Naturally, it features Audi's quattro four-wheel-drive system the excellent traction delivers allowing the TT RS to reach 62mph in under 5 seconds. That's supercar fast.

Feeding cooling air to the RS's engine are deeper front air vents, the TT RS getting a muscular visual makeover inside and out; the large fixed rear spoiler leaving no doubt as to the TT RS's potency. Further details will be revealed at the official unveil next week in Switzerland, the TT RS certain to be among the stars of the Geneva motor show.
