Skoda’s New Fabia goes on sale this week with seven engines, three trim levels and lots of ‘lovely stuff’ to tempt British buyers.
Prices start at £7,990 for the 1.2-litre Fabia 1 model and range up to £13,015 for the 105bhp 1.9-litre TDI PD Fabia 3. Insurance groupings start at a lowly group 1 for the former and rise to group 4 for the latter.
Trim levels are simply named 1, 2 and 3; with even base models benefiting from generous amounts of standard kit. For example, the Fabia 1 gets dual front and side airbags, ABS, central locking, electric front windows and an immobiliser as standard.
Not only is the New Fabia great value for money and ‘full of lovely stuff’, but it’s also doing its bit for the environment. The 1.4-litre TDI PD (80bhp) model produces just 120g/km of CO2 emissions. Elsewhere in the range, the 70bhp 1.4-litre TDI PD produces 127g/km and the 1.9-litre TDI PD 129g/km.
