The first car to come from newly formed Liberty Electric Cars is a Range Rover that will cost as much as £125,000.

Liberty is a new company that has been set up to offer aftermarket electric power for a variety of cars and the Range Rover is just the first.

The company is investing £30 million in a new UK-based factory that will create 250 jobs.

A new electric drive system has been developed by the company that allows it to be fitted to a wide variety of cars.

Liberty says the Range Rover has a range of 200 miles on a single charge and performance is much the same as with the standard petrol or diesel engines.

Range can be extended by fitting as small on-board generator to create electricity on the move.

The Liberty electric Range Rover is a zero emissions car and prices will start at £95,000 and go up to £125,000 depending on model and specification.
