Maserati will use its Geneva show platform to unveil the latest addition to its swelling model range: the GranTurismo S Automatic.
Offering punters the unique opportunity to be mighty fast, mighty stylish and at the same time a little lazy, the newcomer pilfers the ZF automatic gearbox we've just tested in the sublime Quattroporte Sport GT S, which is programmed for aggressive shifting above all else.
However, unlike its four-door big brother, the GranTurismo S Automatic keeps the 'Skyhook' adjustable dampers of the standard car, so it retains its comfortable ride/handling balance - despite packing a snarling 434bhp 4.7-litre V8 under the bonnet.
Other upgrades include the addition of a newer, safer passenger airbag, and Bluetooth phone preparation as standard. There's no word on pricing just yet, but you can expect a £1,500 - £2,000 premium over the standard GranTurismo S.
