Rinspeed iChange, iCan't believe it either...

Swiss firm Rinspeed seems to take it as a point of national pride to have a show stopping concept on its stand every year and this year is no different. Unlike the aquatic antics it's been up to in recent years Rinspeed's 2009 concept is a bit less wild, the iChange an electrically powered sports car that can change shape to accommodate extra passengers. In regular guise the sleek battery powered sports car seats just the driver in a central position, but pressing a button lifts the roofline enough to allow two additional passengers to squeeze inside.

They'll need to stretch over the iChange's bodywork as it's not got doors. It's just as well Rinspeed has fitted the iChange with a diamond-coated anti-slip floor, then. Other unusual features include all the vehicle's most important functions being undertaken by an Apple iPhone and solar panels to top up the lithium-ion batteries. With a range of 55-miles per charge the iChange doesn't go very far between battery top ups, but there's no denying that it looks absolutely sensational.
