Rolls-Royce 200EX, It's an experiment, apparently

Roll-Royce's range will expand to four models in 2010 and the 200EX outlines how that extra model will look when it arrives. Being Rolls-Royce it does things a bit differently, calling its 200EX an 'experimental' model rather than a concept. This new, smaller and more affordable Rolls-Royce is certain to appeal to the wealthy in these ever more cost conscious times, its designer Ian Cameron describing it as having an 'air of informal presence - powerful but unobtrusive.'

It's certainly a good looking car despite its smaller proportions. When we say smaller though that's relative, the 200EX is still a big saloon. It's got the Rolls-Royce hallmarks though, including a bold upright grille topped by the Spirit of Ecstasy in front of a long bonnet. There are rear-hinged 'coach' doors and an interior that's hand-crafted in the finest materials, too. Underneath its bonnet there's a new V12 engine, more details of which we'll be getting at the show. If you're interested you'd best get your deposit down now, as despite the credit crunch this new smaller Rolls-Royce is certain to be a big hit worldwide.
