If the awesome BMW Concept CS wasn't present in Shanghai, then all media attention would have been on Audi's stand, where the company took the wraps off its latest concept car, the Cross Coupe quattro.

Regular readers of our show reports will recognise the lines of the new Audi concept, as they vaguely resemble the Roadjet concept shown at the 2006 Detroit Motor Show. There is no doubt that Audi will put a slightly less glamorous version of this show car into production in the very near future. We believe it will be called the Q3, sharing its naming convention with the Q7 SUV, though there is also the possibility that Audi may align it with its new coupe, the A5 and tag it Q5. We should learn more at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
