As if crashing James Bond's Aston Martin DBS into Lake Garda wasn't bad enough, the delivery driver has received a double blow with a fine for dangerous driving from the Italian police.
Fraser Dunn, 29, was delivering the £140,000 supercar to the set of the new Bond film, Quantum of Solace, when he skidded off the road and plunged into Lake Garda.
Dunn, from Leamington Spa, was initially knocked unconscious and had to make a Bond-like escape from the car under 50-metres of water and swim to the surface.
He said afterwards: "I was very lucky and the whole thing was like a scene from a Bond film.
"My lungs felt as if they were going to explode and my chest still hurts now."
However, local police at Lake Garda believe Dunn was driving dangerously and have fined him £400.
Police Chief Marco Zucchelli said: "This is a standard fine for dangerous driving because he lost control of the car."
