Kia is warning email users not to respond to a scam that is using the Korean car maker's name illegally.
The spam email tells recipients that they have won up to £750,000 and a free car in an email lottery.
These people are then asked to supply personal information, such as bank details, so the money can be given to them.
Kia's genuine phone numbers and email addresses have been included on the spam email to make it look like the real deal.
A spokesman for Kia said: "We have never run an email lottery and this is a despicable scam being carried out on unwitting members of the public by thieves.
"We are working with various authorities to trace these people and stop this scam, and members of the public should not provide any personal details under any circumstances."
