Maserati has added a dose of sunshine to its most beautiful model. The GranCabrio is an open-topped version of the stunning GranTurismo coupé, and is the first four-seat convertible the Italian maker has ever produced.
Set to make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show - an event that's getting more exciting by the day - the Pininfarina designed GranCabrio is powered by a 4.7-litre V8 engine producing 433bhp, so despite being primarily a car for looking good in, it won't lack grunt.
Maserati says the GranCabrio is aimed at 'refined connoisseurs,' so we're expecting nothing less than a supremely quiet, refined and comfortable cabriolet when it hits showrooms in Spring 2010. Its canvas roof is electrically operated, and Maserati promises the car will not sacrifice rear space to accommodate it, leaving ample room for passengers. We'll confirm or deny that when we see it at Frankfurt.
