Maserati has upped the power of its GranTurismo coupe to 440bhp to create the S model.
With 10% more power than the standard car, Maserati says the S is focused on performance and driving excitement.
To cope with the extra power - a 35bhp increase over the standard GranTurismo - the S has a Formula One-style gearbox.
This 'box uses steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters to switch gears in the manual gearbox without the need for a clutch pedal.
There are also new, larger front brakes and subtle exterior tell-tales that the S is sportier than the standard model.
Inside, the GranTurismo S has reshaped sports seats, and leather and Alcantara upholstery.
Maserati has not announced prices yet, but will confirm the cost and performance figures at the Geneva show next week.
