Honda Civic owners in the UK have been alerted to a potential problem with their cars' handbrake.
The recall applies to 63,000 cars built between 2006 and 2007 and was issued after a number of complaints from owners.
A new handbrake will be fitted to any car free of charge if the owner is not happy.
The problem arose when some owners noticed the handbrake would not work if the release button was pushed while applying the handbrake.
Honda recommends not pressing the Civic's handbrake button when pulling the lever up.
A spokesman for Honda said: "We're sending out letters to all owners in March and April and recommend they visit their local Honda dealer to have an improved handbrake fitted."
