It may not have needed any more grunt, but that hasn't stopped Aston Martin upping the maximum power of the V8 Vantage to 420bhp.
The V8 engine increases in size to 4.7-litres in both the Coupe and Roadster models.
To use the extra power, the optional Sportshift semi-automatic gearbox has also been uprated and helps the revised Vantage deliver better performance, economy and emissions.
The 0-60mph time drops to 4.7 seconds, while top speed increases to 180mph.
Stiffer suspension helps improve the ride and handling, while the steering has also been revised for improved response.
A new 19-inch alloy wheel design has been introduced as standard to mark out the updated V8 Vantage.
Inside, there's a new centre console made from zinc alloy and the ignition key is replaced by Aston's Emotional Control Unit made from glass, steel and polycarbonate.
First deliveries of the new V8 Vantage are expected in October of this year and Aston Martin will announce prices closer to that time.
