Volkswagen Iroc

Behind the retina-burning green paint and funky concept-car interior of the VW Iroc lies what we believe to be the next Golf-based coupé from the VW Group. Though the Corrado was the most recent offering, the Iroc's spiritual ancestor is the old VW Scirocco, hence the name.

Although the Iroc concept features suitably extravagant styling (inside and out), it is thought to be close in shape to the new production coupé. That means an aggressive new family look to future VWs, with a prominent new front grille and shapely headlights.

What is a little surprising about the existence of this car is that it would appear to compete directly with its coupé cousin, the Audi TT, especially with its 210bhp TSI engine and potential for four-wheel drive. There's nothing better than a good in-fight!
