Ford Mondeo
Ford has sold more than 1.5 million examples of the Mondeo since the 'world car' replaced the jelly-mould Sierra in 1993. The Mondeo is a particular favourite in Britain, managing to be one of the top-ten sellers every single year since launch. Though the fleet market will have a lot to do with that, Ford is hoping that the all-new Mondeo, due to be revealed in
Geneva, will appeal to private buyers as much as it will to sales reps.
First impressions are certainly good, with the Mondeo adopting Ford's 'kinetic design' language to good effect. Saloon and hatch variants will be available from launch, alongside an impressive-looking estate.
Pictures of the new Mondeo's interior also bode well for the car, with a contemporary new design taking the car further upmarket than previously. The outgoing Mondeo has oodles of space and to that Ford has added style and the latest technology. We're looking forward to trying out the driver's seat for size in Geneva.
