SEAT's diesel hot hatch

SEAT is celebrating its switch to diesel-powered racers in the British Touring Car Championship with the FR550 special edition.

Only 550 of the 167bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel-engined hot hatches will be built.

All FR550s have unique sports body styling, 18-inch alloy wheels and FR550 badges.

Inside, there are sports seats and an MP3 connector as standard.

The FR550 covers 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and has a top speed of 135mph.

It returns 47.1mpg combined economy and emits 161g/km of carbon dioxide.

The Leon FR550 costs £18,405 and is on sale now.
