Kia, Seven years, 100,000-miles

You'll be having a seven-year itch with your car when its warranty runs out if you're a clever buyer. Only two cars in the UK are offered with seven-year warranties and they're both Kias. The cee'd and Sportage both boast such recession busting warranties, meaning you could drive with absolute piece of mind until 2016 covering over 14,000-miles each year at the same time. That's incredible.

Both cars are pretty cheap to buy in the first place too, and should hold their value well thanks to the fact you can pass on the warranty to the next owner. Kia has also announced that it will be taking part in the scrappage scheme, meaning real bargains are to be had, especially if you have an older car to trade-in. If you want a car to see you comfortably out the other end of the financial crisis then look no further.
