Lotus's next sports car is being given its first pre-launch airing at the Geneva show this week.
For Geneva, Lotus has decided to display the front half of the Eagle's chassis, which uses the Norfolk firm's innovative new Versatile Vehicle Architecture (VVA).
Lotus has developed VVA to help it design and build new cars more quickly by using a single base for a whole family of cars.
The VVA platform can be stretched or shortened to suit a variety of different cars and is made from lightweight aluminium.
Project Eagle will be fully unveiled at the British Motor Show in July and will feature a 400bhp V8 engine.
Lotus boss Mike Kimberley said: "I am delighted at the exceptional fast-track progress of Project Eagle.
"Lotus Engineering is a world leader in niche vehicle design, manufacture and global sales, and Project Eagle is a prime example of this competence."
