Stylish new Vauxhall MPV revealed

Vauxhall's bold new Meriva can be seen properly for the first time in these just-released pictures.

The Meriva Concept is very close to the production version of the next small MPV from Vauxhall.

The unusual door arrangement can clearly be seen, where the rear door is hinged at the back to open in the opposite direction to normal cars'.

Vauxhall says this gives the best access to the rear seats and gives parents more control over when the rear doors are opened by children.

Also clear in these pictures is the 'wave' in the window line of the new Meriva.

The windscreen is a panoramic design that extends above and over the front seats to give an airy feel to the interior.

The Meriva Concept will be fully unveiled at the Geneva motor show next week and goes on sale in the UK in September.
