Citroen C-Buggy

Citroen's C-Buggy concept could only really work as a production car in sunny climes such as Madrid itself, but it's still a bit of fun, which should be the point of concept cars anyway.

If you think the C-Buggy looks familiar, that's because it is based on an earlier Citroen concept car called C-AirPlay. That car was light and airy inside thanks in part to the 'portholes' in the lower parts of the doors, but the new concept goes further by doing without any roof at all. Nor does it have a windscreen.

The ride height has been increased and some underbody protection added too to give the C-Buggy a tougher look, though think beach buggy rather than mud-plugging off-roader. Look beyond the limited functionality of the concept car and it is likely that the next generation of small Citroen hatch will use some of the styling cues.
