4 - Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

The chiselled good looks of the Gallardo are undeniable, but it's just taken a step up the sexiness scale with the addition of the LP560-4 to the range. Now number and letter combinations don't really cut it in the cool stakes, but we're prepared to forgive Lamborghini its rather clumsy nomenclature in this instance. Way sexier than its Murcielago big brother, the Gallardo LP560-4 appeals for its harder edged, driver focussed appeal.

Like everything here - with the exception perhaps of the 500 - the Lamborghini treats the ears as much as it does the eyes. Its V10 screamer not only delivers sensational physical performance, but an aural one to raise hair on necks for miles around. Somehow it's a little bit more appealing than Ferrari's similarly focussed 430 Scuderia, the Lamborghini being a even more left-field and a tad more interesting, and that's damned sexy.
