5 - Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

We first clapped eyes on Alfa's 8C Competizione as a concept on a motor show stand a few years back and we're still trying to comprehend its beauty to this day. The limited run special edition supercar is arguably one of the most beautiful cars to be produced. Ever. Its rarity only adds to its allure, as does its 4.7-litre V8 engine, which it shares with the Maserati GranTurismo S we raved about above. So sound and vision then, in ear and retina seducing maximum attack.

Sadly we're unlikely to ever get behind the wheel of one here; after all people don't need to know how it drives to want one. Indeed, it could drive like an utter shed and we'd still want one more than anything else. But it doesn't, apparently it delivers on the road too. The complete package then - jaw-dropping supermodel looks, a rousing soundtrack, an exciting drive and even a name that demands you inflect it with an Italian flair. We want one so much it hurts. Sexy? Hell yeah.
