Ford Fiesta ECOnetic

It may seem strange to kick off this extreme quintet with a car as humble as the Ford Fiesta. Even taking into consideration the massive interest the stylish new Fiesta has attracted in recent months, we can appreciate why you might be looking at the screen in confusion.

Well, be confused no more, as the Fiesta ECOnetic is extremely frugal. Yup, it's in this week's Five of the Best simply due to the fact that it consumes commendably little fuel while going about its business. Ford reckons its new baby manages 76.3mpg on the benchmark combined cycle, while CO₂ emissions are less than 100g/km. Yet this version of the Fiesta looks little different to the rest of the range and features the same stylish new interior. Having your cake and eating it has never been so easy. So long as you don't buy into the whole 'Made with love' ad campaign that Ford is pedalling right now. That's just extremely annoying...
