This year, Porsche celebrated its 60th anniversary and to show its appreciation for the workforce, a massive bonus of €6,000 was paid to almost every employee working for the sportscar maker.
The generous bonus was decided upon following a highly successful 2007-2008 business year, in which Porsche is reported to have made the most profit per car out of all the car makers.
Last year, employees received a €5,200 payout at the same time.
Porsche explained that this year's payment can be broken down into €3,800 related to 'operative result', €700 from 'financial transactions' and the remaining €1,500 in honour of the 60th anniversary of the company.
Though most employees will receive the payment at the end of October, staff that joined after August 1st, 2007 will not be eligible.
